I've asked the City to add this rail to the plain pyramid. Click on the photo for a larger version. What do you think about the setup? I know the picture isn't the greatest, but I think you can get the idea. It's your basic flat-down style rail would gives you more versatility than a complete up-flat-down (also named a battleship rail). I've seen people setup one of the loose flatbars on the top of this pyramid so a few people are think along the same lines. Also the skatepark in SSM Michigan has a flat-down. Leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Volunteers Needed - Fundraising Committee

ATTENTION skaters and non-skaters. Anyone and everyone interested in seeing the completion of a world-class concrete skatepark in Sault Ste Marie is invited to join our SCSA fundraising committee. This is the opportunity for work toward a common goal with your fellow community members. Parents and family of today's and tomorrow's skateboarders are welcome.

We need people willing to help in almost any shape or form. For example, some fundraising initiatives may include car washes, contacting businesses, letter writing, manpower at events or supervising a donation table in the mall.

On The Move Day - Game of SKATE - June 3rd

Come on out June 3rd from 1-4pm for a game of SKATE at the SSM skatepark. This event is part of a city wide ON THE MOVE day for the city of Sault Ste Marie. Several facilities and groups will be opening their doors or holding demonstrations or participation events/contests.

Sault Ste Marie Temp Park Re-build

This Saturday May 27th we should be able to skate at the SSM temp park again. The building of the temp park is scheduled for the entire week May 22-26th.

Skatepark Grand Openning Wawa

Coming up this Saturday May 13 the community of Wawa is hosting a Grand Openning for their new indoor skatepark facitlities. Expect to see some of Sault Ste Marie's local skateboarders to be on hand.
